Toni Braxton Loses Rights to 27 Songs in Bankruptcy Deal
Toni Braxton’s financial troubles continue to follow her after years of bankruptcy. The R&B singer has lost the rights to 27 of her songs as part of a bankruptcy deal. After filing for a second time, Braxton’s settlement included buying back her catalogue for $20,000 under the condition that she could be outbid for some of the music.
Unfortunately, a man by the name of Ross M. Klein beat her to the punch by purchasing a list of songs that include “Making Me High,” “How Many Ways,” and “Always.” However, her signature hit, “Unbreak My Heart,” wasn’t included. Had it been, she would have to pay Mr. Klein a fee everytime she performed it.
