C-Murder Released From Prison to Attend Grandma’s Funeral
Wearing his orange jail jumpsuit and handcuffs, C-Murder was let out of Angola State Penitentiary to attend the funeral of his late grandmother on Saturday (Aug. 3). C-Murder — best known for his 1998 platinum-selling debut Life or Death — is currently serving a life sentence for second-degree murder after a 10-2 jury found him guilty of killing a 16-year-old fan at a Harvey, Louisiana nightclub in 2002. He has attempted to appeal the verdict, but to no avail.
Photos of C-Murder at the funeral with his daughters and nephew Romeo Miller popped up on Instagram Saturday. The moment was bittersweet for family.
“Being able to just sit & have a conversation w/my uncle @iamcmurder was a blessing. We gonna get you home Uncle C! Love ya,” shared Romeo.
Also present at the funeral was C-Murder’s brother and rapper Master P.
