Wale Collaborating With Mariah Carey on New Music

Wale has been taking his turn with strong female vocalists as of late. “Bad,” off his recent third studio album The Gifted, featured Tiara Thomas, and became a hit for the MMG rapper with Rihanna hopping on for the track’s remix. Wale’s got another lady on his mind now: Mariah Carey. Wale announced he was working with the five-time Grammy winner via his Twitter.

The JD likely stands for Jermaine Dupri, but whether he will serve as producer for the track or rap on it is unknown. Carey is currently prepping her fourteenth studio album, The Art Of Letting Go. The first single, “#Beautiful” featured Miguel, while the follow-up “Triumphant (Get ‘Em)” boasted verses Wale’s MMG pals Meek Mill and Rick Ross. It’s possible Carey is returning the favor for MMG’s Self Made Vol. 3 LP that is due later this year.
