It’s all fun and games with Dave Chappelle — until you heckle him at a stand-up show. After reports surfaced that the comedian was up against a not-so-friendly crowd in Hartford, CT, Chappelle took the stage at a subsequent show in Chicago to address the situation and denounce the entire city.

“This crowd is so much better than Hartford. I don’t ever wanna go back. I don’t wanna go to Hartford for f–kin’ gas,” he told the Chi-town audience. “I don’t want anything bad to happen to the United States, but if North Korea ever drops a nuclear bomb on this country, I swear to God I hope it lands in Hartford, Connecticut.”

Chappelle continued to call the Hartford crowd “an arena full of suburban torturers,” “young white alcoholics.” He even referenced the racist on-stage stunt pulled by comedian Michael Richards back in 2006.

“I wanted to pull a ‘reverse Kramer.’ Call them all crackers or something like that,” he said.
