Diddy Beats Jay Z Atop Forbes’ Cash Kings 2013 List
Somewhere in America, Diddy, Jay Z and Dr. Dre are probably trying to find new ways to spend their money because according to Forbes, they sure have a lot of it. Diddy, Jay and Dre, respectively, shared the top three spots on the Cash Kings 2013 list of the world’s highest paid hip-hop artists. According to Forbes, Mr. Combs raked in $50 million over the past 12 months thanks to his Bad Boy record label, Sean John clothing line, Blue Flame agency, his agreement with Diageo’s Ciroc vodka and eventually his forthcoming cable channel Revolt.
Jay Z earned $43 million with his live shows, the success of Magna Carta… Holy Grail, Armand de Brignac champagne, D’Ussé cognac, Roc Nation label/management firm and many other ventures. Dr. Dre, who topped last year’s Cash King’s list, brought in $40 million due to his Beats by Dre headphones and company expansion to a music service.
Other stars to make the cut include Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Kanye West, Pitbull, Drake, and list newbies Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Head over to Forbes for the full list.
