Lady Gaga Brings Out Too Short & Twista at iTunes Festival (VIDEO)
Lady Gaga debuted six new songs off her upcoming ARTPOP album at the iTunes Festival in London on Sunday (Sept. 1.) The iTunes Festival is a monthlong concert series that takes place at London’s The Roundhouse every September. Gaga’s iTunes Fest set had been dubbed #Swinefest and several pig references were made throughout the night — from masks to toys to new song titles.
Gaga kicked off her set with the new tune “Aura,” which leaked last month. She played the recently previewed songs “Swine” and “MANiCURE”, as well as “Sex Dreams” and the LP’s debut single “Applause.” But the attention-grabber was “Jewels & Drugs,” a hip-hop-inspired track featuring T.I., Too $hort and Twista. Both Too $hort and Twista were onstage for the performance. Gaga hinted at the hip-hop number at the 2013 MTV VMAs last week.
She closed out the set with the piano ballad “I Wanna Be With You” written towards the end of her last tour. The track is a sweet tune about missing the one you love. ARTPOP, Gaga’s third studio album, will be released on Nov. 11.
