In court docs filed this past summer, the Black Eyed Peas frontman issued a cease-and-desist order by making claims that Pharrell’s YouTube channel i am OTHER closely mirrors his brand. “I am disappointed that will, a fellow artist, would file a case against me,” he told Rolling Stone in June.”I am someone who likes to talk things out and, in fact, I attempted to do just that on many occasions.”
Furthermore, Pharrell alleges that Will.i.am has a history of copyright infringement, citing nearly a dozen lawsuits including song stealing. He also wants to be able to use the “I Am Other” name without legal difficulties and for Will to pay his lawyers.
