Lauryn Hill Announces Post-Prison Tour Date
Lauryn Hill is ready to hit the stage. In her first performance since being released from prison, the Fugees’ frontwoman will descend on the Bowery Ballroom in New York CIty, NJ.com reports.
After serving three months of prison for tax evasion, the rapper/ singer was granted permission to delay her house arrest to go on tour. U.S. Magistrate Court Judge Madeline Cox Arleo okayed her request on tour from Nov. 15 through Dec. 31 to revive her career. She also released the track “Consumerism” on the eve of her release.
Hill must seek approval of each tour stop and all show details from her probation officer. Her three-month home detention will begin on New Year’s Day 2014.
