“The past is the past,” says Manny Pacquiao when asked about his previous knockout in 2012 by Juan Manuel Marquez. Many were left in disbelief while watching Pacquiao fall to the ground after being punched by Marquez. The moment in boxing history spawned the hashtag #Pacquiaoing, and has everyone asking whether or not Pacquiao is ready for his fight against Brandon Rios on Saturday (Nov. 23).

In this episode of HBO Sports, Manny Pacquiao talks about the past, present and what he needs to do to win against Rios.

“The big question is for sure can he come back from that devastating knockout, and how does that knockout affect him, ” says Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach. “He understands that winning and losing is the part of the game and he understands that better than anybody. I think that’s why he accepts it and it doesn’t even bother him that he lost a fight.”

Pacquiao vs. Rios happens Sat., Nov. 23 live on pay-per-view beginning at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
