The return of Outkast may finally be here. Numerous sources have confirmed to Billboard that the Grammy-winning duo is expected to reunite on the Coachella stage in 2014.

One insider says there have been “some conversations” about the hip-hop tandem taking the stage, while another said it is “all systems go” for Andre “Andre 3000″ Benjamin and Antwan “Big Boi” Patton to put the reunion rumors to rest.

While topping the charts with such singles as “Hey Ya!” and “The Way You Move” off their 2003 LP Speakerboxxx/The Love Below then consequently releasing the film and soundtrack for Idlewild in 2005, 3 Stacks and General Patton went on to pursue solo projects in film and music that kept stans of the Mighty O seemingly waiting in vain. Even the members themselves tried to dampen hopes.

“There’s been a lot of talk on the Internet about an Outkast album,” Andre 3000 told GQ in February 2012, “and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another Outkast album.”

With a possible solo Andre 3000 project dropping in 2014 and the release of his forthcoming Jimi Hendrix film All Is By My Side, an Outkast reunion wouldn’t hurt the promo run at all.
