Rihanna to Receive First Ever ‘Icon Award’ at American Music Awards
Rihanna’s lightning fast journey to pop stardom is cemented by record sales, endorsement deals and now- another award for her mantle. On Sunday, November 24, the “What Now” singer will make her way to this year’s American Music Awards where she’ll not only perform, but receive the first ever “Icon Award.”
“The first-ever Icon Award was created to honor an artist whose body of work has made a profound influence over pop music on a global level,” says show producer Larry Kelin. “Rihanna’s iconic and innovative sound has enabled her to become one of the most influential and best-selling artists of all time.”
Vixens, do you think Rihanna is worthy of the iconic title?
