Adele Honored at Buckingham Palace
Adele was all smiles on Thursday (December 19) at Buckingham Palace, after receiving an MBE Award from Prince Charles. The MBE, which stands for Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, is an illustrious award given to those who have contributed to culture or served in the military. Introduced as Miss Adele Adkins, Adele received her MBE for “services to music.” Joining her in receiving the award was performing artist P.J. Harvey and author Joanne Harris. Adele laughed and curtsied after receiving her award and said the event was “very posh indeed.” She also said it “was an honour to be recognised and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people.”
We’re proud of Adele and can’t wait to hear some new music!
