MTV2 has re-upped their laughing stock by renewing contracts for a second season of Charlamagne and Friends and have also set a return date for popular show Ain’t That America With Lil Duval.

Charlamagne and Friends, hosted by Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club host Charlamagne Tha God, features hilarious sit-downs with notable figures from musicians ti athletes and comedians who give their controversial opinions on music and pop culture in a roundtable discussion setting. The first season aired as a week-long pilot series and as a preview to this year’s MTV Video Music Awards back in August.

Charlamagne’s fellow Guy Code/Guy Court co-star Lil Duval’s half-hour series Ain’t That America With Lil Duval became MTV2’s highest-rated original series to date and received an average of 800,000 viewers during its debut season. So what can we expect from season two? “This shit is off the motherfucking chain”, says Lil Duval.

A very grateful and excited Charlamagne exclaims, “Is this real life? Duval and I went from doing online webisodes to having our own shows back to back on MTV2…God and the White man really have a plan for us.”

Tune in on Jan. 15 for a new season of Charlamagne and Friends at 11.30pm PST/EST and Ain’t That America With Lil Duval at 11pm PST/EST on MTV2.
