The death of actor Paul Walker shocked Hollywood on Saturday (Nov. 30) night. The Fast & Furious star, known for his love of adrenaline, cars and the ocean, was killed in a car accident where the Porsche he was in hit a tree, spilt in half and burst into flames. Walker was not driving. As news of his tragic death hit, several of Walker’s co-stars took to Twitter to express their condolences and grieve the loss of their pal, or, as his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel called him, “brother.”

The setting for Walker’s tragic and untimely death couldn’t have come under any more unpredictable circumstances. Not only was he the passenger of the car that crashed, but police say speed was a factor in the accident. Walker was out riding in an effort to raise money for his own charity, Reach Out Worldwide. Walker’s organization helped with relief efforts around the world. On Saturday, he had organized a car show in Valencia, Calif. to support the Philippines typhoon. The accident occurred near the site of the show and several of Walker’s friends were the first on the scene, and had to be restrained by the fire department upon arrival as they tried to save an unconscious and trapped Walker from the burning vehicle.

In the gallery ahead several of Paul Walker’s costars like Ludacris and Tyrese and more leave tearful goodbyes to their friend. In the video below, Walker, who was currently filming Fast & Furious 7, talks about his charity’s relief efforts, days before he lost his life at the age of 40. RIP.
