Chris Brown Turns Down Plea Deal In D.C. Assault Case
On Wednesday, Chris Brown turned down a plea deal related to the alleged Washington, D.C. assault that occurred last October.
He came to the brief D.C. Superior Court hearing with his lawyer Mark Geragos, his bodyguard and co-defendant Christopher Hollosy and his boo Karrueche Tran in tow. Brown and his bodyguard were each charged with one count of misdemeanor simple assault, but Danny Onorato, one of Brown’s attorneys, rejected the District prosecutors’ offers.
According to the Washington Post, Bernie Grimm (his bodyguard’s attorney) said the plea deal was the same as the original charge. The maximum penalty for the duo is 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. Another hearing is scheduled for Feb. 20.
