The DNA of body parts found in College Point, Queens (Jan. 16), have been confirmed to match that of missing 14-year-old, Avonte Oquendo, PIX11 confirms.

Police discovered a torso, legs, a skull and teeth, along with shoes, jeans and a shirt that belonged to the missing teen. A teenage girl found the remains after showing her mother a photo, which was taken near Powell Cove Boulevard and Endeavor Place.

Oquendo’s family has yet to speak on the ordeal though their attorney, David Perceman, has reportedly postponed a lawsuit filing against the city in Avonte’s disappearance.

A missing person report for Avonte, who had autism, was filed Oct. 4 last year. He was last seen running out of his Long Island City high school in a surveillance video.
