After racial profiling allegations were made against Barneys’ Manhattan flagship store by two African American shoppers in late 2013, Jay Z was criticized for not pulling his upcoming luxury collection out of the store but his decision proved to be a lucrative one.

Jay Z and Barney’s collaboration has brought in over one million dollars in sales, according to NY Daily News. The collection was unveiled six weeks ago and sales were tallied on Friday (Jan. 3), the last day to purchase anything from the collection.
