Kanye West, Mac Miller, Gary Clark Jr. And More To Perform At X Games In June
Let the X Games begin. ESPN has announced that a slew of big-name music acts are headed to Austin for the annual sports extravaganza in June.
Kanye West is bringing his Yeezus antics to the Circuit of Americas alongside a 12-act line-up including the Flaming Lips, Pretty Lights, Bad Religion, Gary Clark Jr., Mac Miller, Slightly Stoopid, Dillon Francis, Mayer Hawthorne, Wavves, Cash Cash, FMLYBND and Candyland. In addition, the X Games Austin will turn up with a Stadium Super Trucks event added to its RallyCross racing, BMX, Skateboarding, and Moto X competitions.
“The best athletes competing at the highest levels remain the core of X Games,” said Scott Guglielmino, Sr. Vice president of programming and X Games for ESPN, in a statement. “But we’re incredibly excited about being able to create a full-scale festival around that, which celebrates some of the other elements of the X Games lifestyle – music, friends, family, food and fun.”
Expect all performances to take place at the Austin360 Amphitheater and other stages across the venue. There will also be a special stage reserved for DJs and EDM artists.
Pre-sale tickets for the event, going down June 5-8, will be available Friday (Jan. 24) at XGamesAustin.com.
