Madonna Apologizes For Using N-Word on Instagram
Last night (Jan. 18), Madonna ruffled a lot of feathers when she referred to her teenage son, Rocco, as the n-word in an Instagram post (get the deets here). While the singer’s intention may not have been to offend everyone, she did just that as followers flooded her comments section with their dissatisfaction.
Despite telling everyone to “get off her d*ck” (her words, not ours), the pop icon has finally issued an apology.
“I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N word on Instagram. It was not meant as a racial slur. I am not a racist. There’s no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention. It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it’s a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression.”
Last time we checked, there was nothing endearing about a white person calling another white person the n-word.
Vixens, are you buying Madge’s apology?
