“Back in the day you’d cost $300 but now you’re giving it to him for free” is just one of the many comments Tamera Mowry sees on a regular basis for marrying outside of her race. In the special “Where Are They Now?” on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network, a teary-eyed Tamera discussed the hateful comments she sees on Twitter about her being in an interracial marriage to FOX Network correspondent Adam Housley. “I’ve never experienced so much hate ever in my life…I get called White man’s whore…,” the reality star painfully recalled. She said she grew up never seeing color because she herself is a product of an interracial marriage (her mother is of Afro-Bahamian descent while her father is White). Mowry also said that she gets belittled even more since her sister, Tia, married a Black man. “They say Tia’s a true Black woman because she married a Black man,” she said. “I’m less of a Black person because I married White?” Before the episode airs Friday (Jan. 17) at 9pm/8pm CT on OWN, catch the teaser below.
