Tupac’s Musical ‘Holler If You Hear Me’ to Hit Broadway This Summer
Tupac Shakur continues to inspire even after his death.
The rapper who was slain in 1997 at the age of 25 has inspired a musical “Holler If You Hear Me”. The track-titled musical isn’t a biographical account of the rapper’s life but his lyrics will help tell the story of inner-city living. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it is, the musical is titled after a track of his 1993 album Strictly For My N.I.G.G.A.Z..
The Kenny Leon-directed production is produced by his mother, Afeni Shakur, producer Eric Gold, and Chunsoo Shin. It’ll make it’s debut on June 19 at the Palace Theatre in New York with a preview run beginning on May 26. Vixens, will you be checking out his lyric-inspired musical?
