Watch Me Contest Winner Drama B Making A Comeback With ‘MGCB’

Rapper Drama B has big dreams. Born Brandon Johnson, the VIBE and DeStorm Power 2013 Watch Me Contest winner has built a cult following on his YouTube page where he regularly uploads new music and his own remixes to, say, DJ Khaled’s “I’m On One” or Drake’s “All Me,” the latter which had some 1.2 million views at press time. In his quest to make it to the top, Drama B is doing things all by himself, from audio engineering to his music video production to marketing and promotion. His latest mixtape, MGCB (My Greatest Comeback), dropped this week. The 17-track street album shows his hunger for being considered a rapper in the game. “I believe the most important thing about rap is sharing your life story, struggles, and what you’ve been through,” says Drama B. “You can rap about something you don’t got, that requires research, but when you dig deep into your own life, your struggles could be different with somebody else, or your struggles can relate to somebody else’s.” Drama B breaks down his road to victory in the Watch Me contest, where he had to build on a track with his own verse.
