In a recent sit-down with MTV News, Kid Cudi shares how Satellite Flight: The Journey To Mother Moon turned from a mini-EP into a full album. Due for release this month, the now full-length work is the rapper’s own favorite work. “It was supposed to be this mini little thing for the fans and it ended up forming a life of its own,” he said. “I’m really excited because it’s my best work and it’s a surprise. People weren’t really expecting it. I was just on fire creatively.” Still a segway into his upcoming third Man On The Moon chapter, Cudi reveals that Satellite Flight will leave fans in suspense, circling back to the theme of the series in time for the next album release. “It starts where Indicud left off perfectly, and takes you right into MOTM III. It’s like a TV show that ends with that cliffhanger,” he explains. “The album ends that way, where you get that one song and before you know it, the song is over and the album is over, but there’s a ‘to be continued…’ There’s more to the story.” Satellite Flight will roll out in an iTunes only released initially, followed by a physical release thereafter.
