“They say youths is getting fed while real niggas starve/ Just like that money got the softest niggas acting hard…”

Just when the naysayers begin to count New York rap out, Uncle Murda enlists the likes of Raekwon, Maino and Troy Ave for a good old-fashioned NYC street anthem entitled “What They Want.” Produced by Jerry Wanda, the track also feature Tank on the hook.

Setting the tone for the rest of the track, Murda talks the changed hip-hop game. Drawing the lines, he offers some advice to rappers who may not exactly be “about that life”:

“If you’re not tough, don’t act tough in your songs/ Learn how to rap like Kendrick, put a book bag on/ Or do it like Trinidad but more iller/ Dress up like Jerome, make a song called ‘All Silver’”
