Lady Gaga Looks Plain In Roseland Ballroom Show Promo Poster
Next month, New York City’s historic Roseland Ballroom is closing its doors for good but the venue is going out with a bang as Lady Gaga will be performing a sold-out, four-night residency from March 28 to April 2.
The promo poster (above) shows Mother Monster pre-fame (sorta as Monsters swear the photo was released right after “Just Dance”) in black and white. Six years ago, a photographer prompted her to take a photo and then asked her who she was, she said, “I’m Lady Gaga. A singer/songwriter. You’re going to know me one day.” The photo is a representation of her come-up as a New York artist and the venue’s history.
Roseland Ballroom first opened in New York in 1919 and has been operating at its current location on West 52nd street since 1958.
