Watch: Bruce Springsteen Covers Lorde’s ‘Royals’

Bruce Springsteen’s current Australia/New Zealand tour made a stop in Auckland, New Zealand at the Mt. Smart Stadium, where the legendary singer performed an interesting cover of Lorde’s Grammy-winning smash, “Royals.” In his acoustic version, Springsteen slows it down and tweaks the lyrics of the song, including “you can call me king bee.”

This rounds out a series of covers Springsteen has performed on this leg of his tour, with AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell” and the Bee Gee’s “Stayin’ Alive” also making the cut. The singer and his E Street band also twerked for an audience in Australia. Looks like the 64-year-old singer is keeping up with the times.

He will return to the U.S. in April for five more shows.
