5 Rappers Who Should Be NBA Team Ambassadors

When Jay Z joined forces with the then New Jersey Nets, it was only a matter of time before hip-hop’s greatest trendsetter made other rhyme-sayers smarten up and open their markets up. Other notable figures in hip-hop had aligned with NBA teams in the past like St. Lunatic frontman Nelly with the Charlotte Bobcats and R&B legend Usher with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but none to the degree of the Jigga Man.

Today’s current rap king, Drake showed he learned a lot from Jay’s business savvy when he became the Global Ambassador for his hometown Toronto Raptors. Between the announcement, Drake Night and assisting Terrence Ross at the Dunk Contest for NBA All Star Weekend, Drizzy clearly takes his new role for real.
