Ed Sheeran is taking his talents to the rap game. MTV News reports that The Game and UK singer/songwriter are planning to release a collaborative album. The Compton MC says the joint project will be a double-disc project.

“So it’ll be two CDs,” said the 34-year-old rapper. It’ll be the way I would do an album, with his help, and the way he would do an album with my features.”

The two connected over a Twitter shout out when Sheeran tweeted that he was feeling Game’s Jesus Piece album last year. The digital love led to a studio session that birthed 11 songs.

“Ed came up with the idea to start working on a joint album, and we started doing it,” Game said. “Acoustically, he’s a genius, man, so when he does that, what comes out of me is songs like ‘Dreams’ and ‘Hate It or Love It’ and ‘My Life.’ The songs that we got, they’re real songs. And I can’t wait for people to hear ‘em.”

Game says he is hoping for a late 2014, early 2015 release.
