First Listen: Yoann Feynman And Monomotion “Absolut Monarchy”

| May 20, 2014 - 1:30 pm

Yoann Feynman & Monomotion were born out of a collision. Not a crash collision but one of Parisian duettists who come together by a shared comfort with themselves and who are in tune with their time.

They embody what the City of Lights does best: dragging out of the slums their disruptive forces and making them icons of “Made in France” electronic music. With a sphere of creation that ranges from poolside house music to a more aggressive after-party techno, the duo features captivating rhythms and a pretty sick tendency to cause neck injuries.

The latest sonic destroyer from Yoann Feynman & Monomotion, entitled, “Absolut Monarchy,” begins with a jolt, rooted in distorted heavy electric basslines. Remaining upbeat throughout, the driving grooves are both big room enough for the EDM generation and quirky enough for dance music elitists alike… and you thought it wasn’t possible.
