The chief sat courtside next to the singer and asked for a selfie with the singer while she was wearing an LAPD bracelet. The Bajan beauty was more than willing to partake in the photo opp and offered to snap the selfie herself when the phone slipped out of her hand and smashed on the hardwood. She then tweeted her apologies, “Sorry I broke your phone @SteveSoboroff :).”

To make up for the broken device, Rih reported for duty and then some by handing over $25,000 to Soboroff’s L.A. Police Foundation. The chief is set to make money for the cause after asking the singer to sign his phone and now listing it on eBay for auction. The highest bid standing is $10,100.00.
