Pharrell has been asked ad nauseam about the controversy surrounding one of his biggest hits “Blurred Lines,” but Krishnan Guru-Murthy of UK’s Channel 4 News felt there was a point to be proven. Pointing out how the song has been considered “rapey” and cajoling to women, the reporter tried to bait the “Happy” singer into saying he was in the wrong. Pharrell then pushed back and made a car salesman analogy as defense. The Grammy-winning producer even asked the reporter if he ever had “naughty thoughts” only for him to say he would never answer such a thing. “And that’s why that song needs to exist,” P said.
