50 Cent Stars Alongside Bruce Willis In ‘The Prince’, Cast In Jake Gyllenhaal Boxing Flick
50 Cent may not be asked to throw a pitch again but he’s apparently a great catch when it comes to movie roles.
This summer, the G-Unit general will star in The Prince alongside actors Bruce Willis and Jason Patric. In the film (whose plot is nostalgic of the Liam Neeson blockbuster Taken), a father tries to locate his daughter after she is kidnapped by a rival assassin who wants revenge. The Prince is set to snatch select theaters and will be available On Demand Aug. 22.
To bulk up his on-screen resume, Fiddy will be shooting the boxing flick Southpaw, in which he plays a promoter as part of the entourage for Jake Gyllenhaal’s character, a left-handed welterweight champion.
“Actually, I’m working on a film project right now with Antoine Fuqua and Jake Gyllenhaal, Southpaw,” the rapper told ESPN’s First Take about the project earlier this month. Southpaw is also set to star Forest Whitaker and Rachel McAdams.
The Queens MC has also been clocking in time as executive producer and actor in the Starz’ crime series Power, which has already been picked up for a second season.
