Everyone’s talking about Robin Thicke’s upcoming album, Paula. And since it drops next week, this, in theory, is a good thing for him. After all, the more publicity that an album generates, the more interest there is in it and the more sales that it should do. Right?

At this point, it’s too early to tell. Because while people are tweeting sarcastically it—and the lead single, “Get Her Back”—it’s not necessarily for the right reasons. Instead of focusing on the music, the chatter is more about Thicke’s stunt to “get back” with his wife Paula Patton, who filed for divorce from him earlier this year. So there’s a chance that all of the publicity surrounding the project could actually end up backfiring. Here, 7 reasons why Robin Thicke’s Paula album is a risky idea.
