Biggie’s Mother Voletta Wallace Talks Beef With Lil’ Kim In Previously Unreleased Footage
Footage was released today (Jun. 14) of an exclusive interview with Voletta Wallace by Vlad TV. In the nearly two-minute clip, recorded in 2005, Wallace details her relationship with Lil’ Kim following the death of her son, The Notorious B.I.G.
Citing Lil’ Kim’s comments about her relationship with Biggie as her main gripe, Wallace stated that she had confronted Kim about the remarks, which led to their fallout:
“After my son’s death, believe it or not, Lil’ Kim and I were close. […] I’m a woman who speaks my mind. And sometimes you say things, the truth hurts, and you take it the wrong way. I did not like the way she was [parading] over national television about Biggie, the love of her life, her heart, her nose, her butt, her mouth, every part of her. Christopher is not here to defend himself. I was offended. I was offended and I let her know. She didn’t like it and I don’t give a hoot. As far as Lil’ Cease is concerned, they’re all struggling. Christopher is not here. He was a figure in their life that they look up to and he wasn’t here and everybody just go their separate ways, and the ways that they went wasn’t the straight way. As a result they all went down the toilet, but I wish them all well. I might tell them to go to hell, or mind their own damn business, but deep down I wish them well.”
Wallace also spoke about how things would have been different if her son was still alive, saying that Lil’ Kim, who was incarcerated at the time, would not have been in jail.
