Luther Vandross Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Luther Vandross, the love ballad guru, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood, CA on Tuesday, June 3. Close friends including Clive Davis, Johnny Gill, Lalah Hathaway, Marcus Miller and more paid homage to the late R&B legend. After attending the historic ceremony, Vandross’ niece Seveda Williams, and family and friends all gathered at the W Hotel in Hollywood to celebrate all of the “Never Too Much” singer’s accomplishments.

Luther Vandross was nominated for thirty-one Grammy’s, while nabbing eight and selling over twenty-five million records worldwide. Vandross died on July 1, 2005 unexpectedly at 54 years old.
