Mariah Carey’s ‘Elusive Chanteuse’ Brings In ‘Meh’ Sales

The record sales for Mariah Carey’s 17th studio album, Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse, are probably as elusive as she.

The “#Beautiful” singer’s project moved 58,000 units on the sales chart in its first week, and landed at no. 5 on the Pop log under Coldplay’s Ghost Stories, which clocked in on top.

MC’s current album was recorded as her lowest non-holiday studio debut since Emotions in 1991, which sold 156,000 copies.
