Migos may be catching a bad rap after local Atlanta News Station WSB-TV reported on Monday (June 23), that there are possible ties between the hip-hop trio and the murder of 23-year-old man Paris Brown.

On June 11, Brown was killed by a stray bullet outside of Venture Drive Quality Inn. He was said to be a supporter of the rising rap stars, whose hit single “Versace” climbed to the Top 40 of Billboard’s Hip-Hop charts. Now, Cpl. Deon Washington strongly believes that Migos member Kiara Cephus was the true target of the shooting, but when he questioned Cephus, very little information was disclosed and he seemed more interested in making sure his street cred was intact.

“We know he was there, however he would not cooperate with the police investigation,” Washington said. “We want to end this as quickly as we can.”

The only evidence that police officers have is surveillance video where two men walked into the hotel while people were still shooting in the background. Rival rap group 2G affiliate, Cory Marzette, is in police custody and has reportedly been charged as one of the shooters in the incident. This feud between the two rap groups has been going on for the past six months, and this latest incident shows it isn’t stopping anytime soon.
