NY Man Arrested for Threatening to ‘Kill Michael Strahan’
A homeless man went berserk Tuesday morning in front of ABC studios, claiming he wanted to kill former NFL star and Live With Kelly and Michael host Michael Strahan. Sources informed the New York Post that 25-year-old Andre Johnson pulled out a knife and started making threats against the retired defensive end after arguing with security at the Good Morning America set around 8 a.m.
After being detained, Johnson told police, “I was there to kill Michael Strahan.”
The suspect was tackled and arrested quickly and was not able to go near or harm Strahan. In fact, he wasn’t even aware of the incident until later in the afternoon.
Johnson will charged with attempted assault as a felony, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. Since he has many out-of-state warrants, a clerk told the Post that he will most likely be held without bail.
