Biopic season is upon us, and next up may be a film on Mike Tyson’s life. But who would portray Iron Mike onscreen?

The championship boxer recently revealed that he was in talks with none other than Jamie Foxx for the starring role in a possible Mike Tyson biopic. In an interview with the Associated Press in Toronto, he explained why Foxx would be a good fit.

“Me and Jamie Foxx have been talking and he’s willing to take that role and portray me as Mike Tyson, doing my life story,” he said. “I think he’s splendid because he’s really up to par. I think he would do a magnificent job.”

After bringing his Spike Lee-directed one-man show, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, it seems Tyson’s plunge onto the big screen may be a reality in the very near future. He even commented on Foxx having to bulk up for the role.

“I saw him the other night and we discussed it,” Tyson said. “He doesn’t have the physicality but he will. He’s able to […] get bulky, so he’s capable of doing it in the future.”

Foxx is no stranger to biopics, having portrayed musician Nathaniel Ayers, as well as Tookie Williams and Ray Charles (for which he won an Oscar). The comedian/actor/singer is also no stranger to mimicking Mike Tyson. Refresh your memory below:
