Get ready for more drama on and off the dance floor. VH1’s Hit The Floor has had an impressive run so far, finishing as the No. 1 new scripted series of the summer on cable among adults 18-49. So it’s no surprise that the show has been renewed for a third season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series follows a fictional L.A. basketball team, its players and dancers. And it’s especially popular among women, according to Viacom. The second season was filled with steamy sex scenes and even a mysterious murder (gasp), making the L.A. Devil Girls a hot topic for fans on social media.

The show has been consistently ranked as the top-10 most social shows on Monday nights on Twitter. “Hit The Floor delivered again with fantastic ratings and social media engagement in season two, especially among women,” said VH1 exec Susan Levison.

Although this season of the scripted drama will conclude on August 11, fans need not worry. Hit The Floor’s third season is well underway and set to premiere in May 2015 with 10 new episodes.
