The good folks at The Society for Personality and Social Psychology released a study that showcases listening to 50 Cent’s classic, “In Da Club” will help boost your confidence.

Researchers Dennis Y. Hsu, Li Huang, Loran F.Nordgren, Derek D. Rucker and Adam D. Galinsky tested what they called “high power” music and “low-power” music on a group of subjects. The high power music included 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” as well as Queen’s “We Will Rock You” along with a few others. The research found listening to the upbeat tunes positively impacted a person’s confidence. While listening to the low-power songs, such as Biggie’s “Big Poppa” and Fatboy Slim’s “Because We Can.” has the opposite effect.

So if you’re headed to an interview, working up the nerve to talk to a Jane or John you’ve been digging, or just want to feel extra swagged out because you made it through the week without going into the negative, throw on Fif’s classic record.
