Drake’s shout out to Kevin Durant at OVO Fest 2014 might cost him and his hometown team.

The Toronto rapper, who is also full-time Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, showed love to the OKC Thunder forward during his homecoming show, which reportedly prompted the NBA to fine the Raptors $25,000.

“You know, my brother Kevin Durant was kind enough to come to the show tonight and watch us. I just want him to see what would happen if he came to play in Toronto,” Drizzy said while on stage. The crowd then roared and erupted into “KD” chants throughout the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.

Sources tell ESPN that the comments were considered to be a “public recruiting pitch” by the NBA and deemed a violation of the league’s anti-tampering rules.
