London duo Snakehips, comprised of Oliver Lee and James Carter, may only be 24-years-old, but that doesn’t mean they don’t know their classic hip-hop and R&B. They also know just how to use the bittersweet nostalgia of classic samples and flip them into productions that make you want to sing, dance and get the fuck up out the chair.

As Snakesips gets ready embark upon their first-ever tour in across the US, we asked them to curate a list of their favorite hip-hop and R&B remixes from other artists eviscerating the increasingly thin line between genres.

The result? With taste this good these Snakes could launch a thousand hips into motion. ‘90s babies and new-school dance-addicts alike, welcome aboard.

Peep Snakehips’ list after listening to their latest single, “Days With You,” featuring Sinead Harnett (out now)- with over a million plays on Soundcloud.

1. Hudson Mohawke – “Freek’N You”
“Crazy flip of a ‘90s Jodeci slow jam. HudMo kills it with the sensual, future gospel vibes.”

2. Brownstone – “If You Love Me (Chloe Martini Remix)”
“Smooth remix by Chloe Martini, she’s got loads more good music on Soundcloud.”

3. B.Lewis – “Speak Your Mind”
“Trippy remix of Floetry – Say Yes. B.Lewis is one of our favorite producers, everything this guy does is amazing.”

4. Nas – “2nd Childhood (Cookin Soul Remix)”
“Cookin Soul have got a load of dope ‘90s rap remixes, this is one of the best, love the Jones Girls sample.”

5. Nas Feat. Ginuwine – “You Owe Me (Sango Edit)”
“I think this was the first Sango track I heard. Such a dope remix, we still drop it in almost every set we do.”

6. Weep – “I Know You Got Work”
“Heard this first in a Ta-ku mix. Amazing remix of Maxwell’s ‘This Woman’s Work’. I think you can download it free off Soundcloud too.”

7. Ta-ku – “Electr(on)ic Relaxation”
“Speaking of Ta-ku, this one is an absolute banger. Amazing take on the ATCQ classic.”

8. Knxwledge – “GawdPRT3[TWRK]”
“P & Havoc x Knxwlegde is a perfect combination. The original tune samples the Scarface theme tune and is a bit more of a war tune. This remix totally changes the vibe.”

9. Missy Elliott – “Sock It 2 Me (Kaytranada Remix)”
“Didn’t know which Kay remix to choose, they’re all too good. This is one is one of our favorites though… such vibes.

10. Ghost Town DJ’s – “My Boo (Wave Racer Remix)”
“Jersey Club inspired flip of My Boo, we love Wave Racer!”
