A Nebraska High School Is Allowing Seniors To Take Pictures With Their Guns
In today’s edition of “This Can’t Be Life” news, a Nebraska high school is making waves for allowing its seniors to take end of year pictures with guns.
The local high school located in Broken Bow, Neb has made only one rule: students must take the photos off campus and they must be “tasteful.” According to Omaha World Herald, the school board voted 6-0 for the measure after parents pressed for the change, Superintendent Mark Sievering said.
“The board I believe felt they wanted to give students who are involved in those kinds of things the opportunity to take a senior picture with their hobby, with their sport, just like anybody with any other hobby or sport,” Sievering said.
While the amendment does allow for one to have the right to bear arms, one would assume with school shootings such as Columbine and Sandy Hook taking a school photo with a gun wouldn’t be the most tasteful of things to do, but to each their own…I guess.
