Deuces! ‘R&B Divas Atlanta’ Getting the Boot
Looks like it’s a wrap for the ladies of R&B Divas: Atlanta.
At the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles, TV One’s new President, Brad Siegel did not present R&B Divas Atlanta as one of the returning series for TV One. The show’s stars, LaTavia, Monifah, Syleena, Kameelah, Angie and Keke, reportedly all received pink slips after three seasons. Jawn Murray’s AlwaysAlist was the first to break the news.
Rumors has it that former executive, and creator of the show Nicci Gilbert’s pending lawsuit against the R&B Divas spin-off show Hollywood Divas, is to blame. The former Brownstone singer claims she and Faith Evans were left out of the TV One spin-off, Hollywood Divas despite being the executive producers of the Divas franchise. Gilbert is filing on 15 counts, including breach of contract, defamation, fraudulent misrepresentation and emotional distress.
Gilbert hasn’t held her tongue about the cancellation either, going off on her Twitter page.

No word on the status of the show’s spinoff, Hollywood Divas or the show’s west coast counterpart, R&B Divas: LA. Are you sad to see the show go?
