Today in “we all saw this coming” news…

George Zimmerman – the man responsible for the 2012 death of Trayvon Martin – was arrested for aggravated assault on Friday night (Jan. 9). Booked for domestic violence with a weapon, bond was set at $5,000 for the man who escaped charges in the teen’s death.

Reportedly throwing a wine bottle at the victim in the incident, Zimmerman has been prohibited from contact, returning to his home or the victim’s county. He has also been ordered to surrender his firearms to authorities. The female involved was not identified.

Zimmerman has had multiple run-ins with the law since his acquittal in Martin’s death. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 17.
