Mother Of Mario Woods On San Francisco Police: ‘They Executed My Son’

The mother of Mario Woods, the alleged stabbing suspect shot and killed in San Fransisco, Calif. earlier this week is speaking out about her son’s death, and sorry to say, it’s beginning to have a very similar tune.

On Wednesday (Dec. 2), Mario Woods was gunned down on a cross section in Bayview by police. The 26-year-old’s death was following a pending investigation surrounding a nearby stabbing incident. His death was captured on a cellphone video camera. Police say that they asked the victim to drop his weapon, and after refusal, officers released fire. While Chief Greg Suhr suggests that the incident was performed by the books, many people are calling foul play, including Gwen Woods, the victim’s mother.

“They executed my child,” Woods stated, “It was a better way of handling it than 25 bullets in my baby.”

The grieving mother understands her son’s threat, however she stated he needed help, instead of returned violence. And while there may be mixed feelings on Woods’ character, many agree that an excessive 25 shots was not at all necessary.

In the wake of Mario Woods’ death, many local residents and supporters held a vigil in mourning, and others have expressed their personal feelings on social media.
