‘Black-ish’ Goes Straight-Up Black With Kendrick Lamar For This “Alright” Promo Video

Although ABC’s hit show is titled Black-ish, their latest promo video is straight-up black.

Featuring Kendrick Lamar and his unexpected anthem of blackness “Alright,” the Johnson family make their own video to the soon-to-be classic record. Actors Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown and Marsai Martin turn family time into rap time as they round up TDE’s MVP for minute-long clip that further immortalizes the Grammy-nominated track. As K. Dot enjoys a colossal bowl of cereal, the Johnson family serves as a faint distraction, (impressively) mouthing the words to the song, dancing and snapping selfies with the rap superstar.

Clearly the rapper–along with millions of viewers each week–is also a fan of Black-ish:
