Twitter Was So Inspired By Kanye’s ‘T.L.O.P.’ They Compared Him To Michael Jackson
Twitter debates were bound to happen in light of Yeezy Season 3/The Life of Pablo listening session Thursday (February 11) but a conversation regarding Kanye West and the late Michael Jackson was a move no one prepared for.
The debate began as the show wrapped up with Chicago’s Hustle Simmons, who analyzed the event like everyone else, on Twitter. The popular personality discussed both artists on account of their influence on pop culture. While recounting the effect both artists have on their fans and haters, and the conversation went left.
Like the Bey Hive, fans of the King of Pop, including rapper Mickey Factz, quickly added their commentary.
And of course, what we’re all thinking:
This isn’t the first time an artist has been compared the musical legend. Kanye himself has likened his career to MJ’s in the past. During his infamous BBC Radio 1 interview with Zane Lowe in 2013, he explained, “I was able to ascend to massive heights. And I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling, as a creative person, as a celebrity and I’ve been at it for ten years.”
Influence can be debated, but as we all know, numbers don’t lie.
