The debate began as the show wrapped up with Chicago’s Hustle Simmons, who analyzed the event like everyone else, on Twitter. This isn’t the first time an artist has been compared the musical legend. Kanye himself has likened his career to MJ’s in the past. During his infamous BBC Radio 1 interview with Zane Lowe in 2013, he explained, “I was able to ascend to massive heights. And I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. Influence can be debated, but as we all know, numbers don’t lie.
