Consequence & GLC Drop “Spaceship III” Feat. Alex Wiley, Chance The Rapper & Chuck Inglish

When you think of Kanye West’s The College Dropout, it’s hard to forget his self-produced record “Spaceship,” which features contributions from GLC and Consequence. Over a decade after the single appeared on Yeezy’s debut LP, Consequence decided to make his own version of the classic record called “Spaceship III.” Not only did he include Alex Wiley’s version with Chance The Rapper and Chuck Inglish, but he also sought after GLC to give the record the ultimate blessing.

“‘Spaceship’ on Kanye’s 1st LP The College Dropout was and is a fan favorite,” Consequence said in a recent interview. “I thought that Alex Wiley, Chance the Rapper, and Chuck Inglish did a great job capturing the vibe of the original record with their own version. Once GLC co-signed it, I thought it would be great to add a verse and put a modern twist on our classic.”

“Spaceship II” dropped back in 2013 when Alex Wiley recruited Chance The Rapper & Chuck Inglish to jump on the dedication to Kanye’s unforgettable single. For the third version, Cons and GLC deliver updated verses to give the record a true nostalgic touch. There’s no word on where the single will end up, but hopefully Wiley will be able to link with the Queens MC to perform the song when he comes to New York City for his Stoner Symphony tour in April.
